The Designer
For Alexis Isabel, her guiding philosophy has always been to prioritize shoes as the centerpiece of any outfit.
Alexis’s approach to footwear took shape during her studies at Sarah Lawrence College, followed by roles at Schwartz & Benjamin and Sigerson Morrison.
Seeking to further explore the relationship between form, function, and beauty, she went on to pursue formal training in Milan. Her experience across creative studios, along with industry recognition—including a collaborative project drawing on the archives of Gianfranco Ferré—helped refine her aesthetic and solidify her vision for an independent label.
Splitting her time between New York and Italy, Alexis approaches each shoe with an unwavering commitment to detail and craftsmanship, working closely with the skilled artisans who bring her designs to life. Cultural exploration, jewelry motifs, and her Filipino heritage often serve as inspirations for her work.
Alexis has been named one of Footwear News’s Emerging Designers to Watch, is a CFDA + Elaine Gold Launch Pad Award winner, and an Accessories Council Design Excellence Awards finalist.
